YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said they managed “to break the backbone of a hybrid coup attempt”.

He added that tens of thousands of dollars, media and the Internet were used to discredit the Armenian authorities, the Prime Minister and his family, but the attempts in a “hybrid war” were “fully neutralized”.

Pashinyan emphasized that senior officials, the representatives of criminal circles and even judiciary representatives were involved.

“Constitutional Court, some officials. But, I am glad to happy that it seems 80% of the members of the Constitutional Court are not involved in the process,” said Pashinyan but declined to name anyone.

He added that these individuals had made several foreign visits and met representatives of the international organizations.

Pashinyan assured that the Armenian security officials are dealing with the matter and those responsible will be held accountable once they have enough evidence.

“We broke the backbone of the hybrid coup. Some of them pin hope on the Artsakh election. They hope to make a person renounced by people the president of Artsakh. But they will face, as the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh have clear understanding of this scenario, just as the people of Artsakh and the national security agencies,” Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
