Armenian acting police chief Arman Sargsyan has introduced the new head of Yerevan Police Department Armen Gasparyan, police reported.

Sargsyan noted that Gasparyan had held senior posts in various police units for many years, and thaned Garik Ghukasyan, the former head of the Yerevan Police Department, for the work done.

He also introduced the newly appointed deputy head of the Yerevan Police Department, Colonel Police Artur Khudinyan. The newly appointed heads of the territorial departments of Yerevan were also represented. Sargsyan introduced the newly appointed commander, Colonel Andranik Arakelyan, who has served in the unit for many years, to the personnel of the Police Patrol Regiment. The latter noted that the regiment was prepared and ready to fulfill any task assigned to it.
