Today, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army and the day marking the birthday of hero of the Four-Day Artsakh War Armenak Urfanyan, the Homeland Defender’s Rehabilitation Center opened a classroom named after the hero.
Among the attendees of the opening ceremony were Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan’s wife Anna Hakobyan and Armenak Urfanyan’s relatives.
During the Four-Day Artsakh War of April 2016, Captain Armenak Urfanyan’s company fought until the end in an unequal battle with the adversary and retaliated several times. To not find himself in the adversary’s captivity, he used the last grenade that he had, bombed himself and the enemy’s approaching soldiers and made the adversary suffer great casualties.
