The murder of former director of the National Security Service of Armenia hasn’t been considered, but five versions are being considered, of which four have been refuted, and the version of suicide has been confirmed. This is what Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Hayk Grigoryan told 1in.am.
He also reported that Kutoyan’s wife has addressed the body implementing proceedings and asked not to report any information without her consent within the scope of the law on information and the Criminal Procedure Code.
“The Investigative Committee has interviewed more than 90 witnesses and requested decryptions of phone calls. Taking into consideration the application of Kutoyan’s wife, Hasmik Bisharyan, I can say that there was a narrow, personal motive behind the suicide.”
On January 17, former director of the National Security Service of Armenia Georgi Kutoyan was found dead in a Yerevan apartment, and with a gunshot wound. His wife had detected the body. A criminal case has been instituted under the article of inciting suicide.
