The parliamentary faction of the Bright Armenia Party doesn’t understand why the authorities express lack of confidence in the entire judiciary, yet only touch upon the Constitutional Court. This is what deputy of the Bright Armenia faction Taron Simonyan told reporters during briefings at the National Assembly today.

According to him, people in Armenia don’t trust the judiciary because whenever they apply to first instance courts, the latter render court judgements that don’t satisfy the people. “In many cases, the people are right because, due to objective and subjective reasons, the country’s judiciary can’t ensure effective implementation of justice. The entire judiciary is to blame, not just the Constitutional Court. We believe it’s not right to forget about this issue and only focus on one person,” Simonyan said.
