YEREVAN. – It consider strange see yesterday’s detaining of Veto initiative leader Narek Malyan, Adekvad initiative members Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan and Artur Danielyan, as well as "Civil Consciousness" NGO head Narek Samsonyan. Iveta Tonoyan, a member of the opposition Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction and press secretary of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan, said this during the briefing in the National Assembly on January 29.

According to her, all actions should be taken within the legal framework, regardless of whom they are applied to.

For his part, Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction secretary Arman Abovyan noted that any action against people should be substantiated.

The aforesaid opposition activists were detained yesterday on suspicion of possessing and carrying illegal weapons and ammunition, but were later released.
