President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Bako Sahakyan today visited the town of Karvachar and convoked a working consultation with the responsible officials of the Shahumyan regional administration, heads of the communities and school headmasters, as reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Artsakh.

Issues related to the course of implementation of various projects being implemented in the region and the existing problems were on the agenda.

Bako Sahakyan once again highlighted the role of the Shahumyan region in ensuring the water security of our homeland and underlined that nature protection norms should be unconditionally maintained during implementation of any project. The President noted that those issues would constantly be in the spotlight of the state and all measures would be taken to eliminate any shortcomings.

The President gave the heads of concerned bodies assignments for proper solution to the issues under consideration.

Minister of State Grigory Martirosyan and other officials took part in the consultation.
