Editor-in-chief of “Rosia Sevodnya” international news agency Margarita Simonyan and General Director of Mosfilm Karen Shahnazarov have been included in the list of candidates for the Board of Directors of the First Channel of Russia, reports RIA Novosti.

Among the other candidates are General Director of First Channel Konstantin Ernst, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of Russia Leonid Levin, Head of the Expertise Department of the President Vladimir Simonenko, Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations Anatoly Torkunov and Deputy General Director of First Channel Kiril Kleymenov.
