Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan has received the newly appointed Ambassador of Iran Abbas Zohouri. During the meeting, the ambassador handed over to the Minister copies of credentials, Armenian MFA reported.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that he will contribute to strengthening and deepening the Armenian-Iranian friendly relations.

The parties exchanged views on enriching the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Iran. During the meeting, the two touched upon a number of topical issues on the regional and international agenda. The sides praised the importance of the Armenian community in the socio-political life of Iran and as a bridge in relations between the two countries.
