The bill presented by deputy of the My Step Alliance Vahagn Hovakimyan is an illegitimate and unconstitutional document, not a legislative initiative, and I wouldn’t even refer to it as a bill or document. This is what deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Naira Zohrabyan told reporters today.

“The aim of the bill is to leave the Constitutional Court out of all processes, and if it is passed in parliament on February 6, it will truly lead to serious consequences,” Zohrabyan emphasized.

In response to the statement that head of the My Step faction Lilit Makunts made yesterday when she said all citizens of Armenia have authorized the My Step faction to solve the issue related to the Constitutional Court, Zohrabyan emphasized that no political party has the right to speak on behalf of the whole people.

“I’m also a citizen of Armenia, but I haven’t given anyone the mandate to solve the issue related to the Constitutional Court. Moreover, I believe there are more important issues in our country,” Zohrabyan stated.
