YEREVAN. – 168 Zham daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: According to our information, on February 6, RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with EU ambassadors. The purpose of the meeting was to have the [proposed] constitutional amendments approved by the EU ambassadors.

Mnatsakanyan tried to prove with various justifications that everything is being done according to the law.

At the meeting, unpleasant questions were raised for the authorities. Particular emphasis was given to the question why this whole process is not carried out with the presence of the expert conclusion of the Venice Commission, and why the constitutional amendments take place in the RA for the first time without the Venice Commission's consultation.

Of course, Mnatsakanyan's arguments and justifications did not convince the EU ambassadors in attendance; each of them is following the whole process.
