On February 10, a delegation headed by Raluca Ivan, Administrator of the Criminal Law Cooperation Unit of the Council of Europe, visited Armavir penitentiary in Armenia.

The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the issues and needs of this institution at the initial phase of the joint project, entitled “Strengthening healthcare and human rights protection in prisons of Armenia.”

At the end of the visit, the parties thanked each other for the cooperation that has a positive impact on the development of the medical service sector in the penitentiaries of Armenia.
