The Council of Europe (CoE) Office in Yerevan and the Ministry of Justice of Armenia officially announced today the launch of the programs, entitled "Strengthening Healthcare and Human Rights Protection in Prisons of Armenia " and "Support to the Establishment of Probation Service in Armenia." These projects are funded within the framework of the CoE 2019-2022 action plan for Armenia..

Natalia Voutova, Head of the CoE Office in Yerevan, informed that the program will assist Armenian authorities in implementing reforms in line with European standards in terms of the health protection and human rights of convicts, as well as improve the functioning of the State Probation Service through the implementation of necessary legislative, institutional, and operational reforms.
