Serbia hopes to ratify the free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in the coming weeks, said Maja Gojkovic, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Serbia, RIA Novosti reports.

The aforesaid agreement was signed in October 2019.

"The ratification of the agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Serbia on free trade is of great importance," Gojkovic said. “This agreement is currently being formulated. We hope that we will be able to ratify it soon. ”

The EEU members are Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
