YEREVAN. – In 2020, Armenia and Syria will sign an agreement on air communication. Tatevik Revazian, Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, said this at the February 13 sitting of the National Assembly.

“We are ready to sign an agreement; we have discussed it with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” Revazian said. "It is planned to sign the agreement in 2020."

She also noted that the Armenian authorities have no reason to renounce agreements with the Syrian side in the field of aviation.

A few years ago, before the Syrian conflict escalated, the Syrian national airline was operating flights to Armenia.
