YEREVAN. – Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: After the mini-referendum, the RA authorities plan to make substantial changes to the Constitution, for which a relevant commission has been set up.

According to preliminary information (...), radical changes are foreseen in some cases.

Past newspaper has learned that the idea of a bicameral parliament—which has been a topic of discussion from time to time in the past, too, but has always been rejected—is put on the authorities' table as a discussable option still in its embryonic stage.

Proponents of the bicameral parliament include those who suggest that representatives from Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] and the Diaspora should also be included in the Lower House. As one of the representatives of the authorities mentioned in our conversation, this change may be of crucial importance in terms of inclusiveness in the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity.
