High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan visited an Armenian church in Moscow and had a meeting with representatives of the educational and church organizations adjunct to the church, the Coordinating Council of Russian-Armenian Organizations and the Moscow Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party, as reported the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia.

The High Commissioner talked about the formation of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, the Office’s human resources policy and the plans for the year 2020, starting from the mapping of the potential of all Armenians and ending with the engagement of the best specialists of the Diaspora in Armenia’s public administration system.

During a question-and-answer session, the High Commissioner answered questions related to cultural programs, the judicial reforms underway in Armenia, the wide engagement of the Diaspora in life in Armenia, the hindrances to repatriation, military service, the fight against anti-Armenian propaganda and the delay of delivery of textbooks to Armenian schools abroad.

In response to questions about the formation of a Council of the Diaspora, Zareh Sinanyan emphasized that this will be an item on the agenda during the upcoming pan-Armenian conference.

Zareh Sinanyan also visited the Proexpo 2020 (Проэкспо 2020) international exhibition and the Armenian pavilion where 23 companies will be presenting Armenian products for five days.
