NATO does not intend to provide military support to Ankara in case of the Turkish operation in northern Syria, TASS reported referring to a diplomatic source in the mission of one of the alliance countries in Brussels.
NATO member states will not support the activation of Article 5 amid the death of the Turkish military in Idlib in early February, the source said.
According to it, NATO is not considering providing military aid to Turkey in case of an operation in the region.
