Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a letter of condolences on the death of renowned photographer, documentarian, and journalist German Avagyan.

"During his professional career, German Avagyan has consistently addressed the issues of mining, mental health, disability and poverty through photographs, thereby contributing to their covering and voicing," the Prime Minister's letter reads, in particular. "The numerous exhibitions opened at various prestigious international organizations—at the UN, UNESCO—and in a number of countries around the world testify to his high professional qualities."
