Within the framework of his visit to Moscow, Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, met with members of the Cilicia Business Club. Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toghanyan was also present at the meeting.

First, the participants were introduced to the activities and priorities of the office of the aforesaid commissioner, and its agenda items for work with the Armenian diaspora. As important directions, Sinanyan singled out the maximum involvement of the Diaspora in Armenia’s life, infrastructure development and removal of barriers, implementation of mass repatriation, and restoration of mutual trust between the Diaspora and Armenia.

Afterwards, Nver Sargsyan, the founder of Cilicia Business Club, presented their main tasks for 2020, mainly emphasizing the opportunities and prospects of investment projects in Armenia.

An agreement was reached to hold the Armenian Business Networking event in April in collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.

The Commissioner was also presented with the idea of creating the Cilicia Tun offline communication platform, which will become a venue in Armenia for meetings and exchanges of knowhow between businessmen from the Diaspora.

The Cilicia Business Club will also launch an e-platform where users can download their data, areas of activity, get to know each other, and work together.

Zareh Sinanyan thanked the businessmen for their interest in the business environment of Armenia, and expressed readiness for cooperation and support.
