Turkey has not yet received a satisfactory result during talks over Idlib with Russia and is ready to start a military operation, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

The first stage of talks took place in Ankara last week amid escalation in northwestern Syria. The second stage was held in Moscow earlier this week.

In his address to the Justice and Development parliamentary group, Erdogan said Turkey is fully ready to launch their own operation in Idlib any moment and called it “an operation of vital importance”.

Erdogan said he had discussed the situation in a phone conversation with U.S. president Donald Trump. He said Turkey is decisive to turn Idlib into a safe place for civilians and Turkey.
