Armenia’s Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan today received Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Victorin.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the EU-Armenia cooperation, including the course of implementation of the programs that Armenia is implementing with the support of the EU and the prospects for future cooperation.
Armenia’s finance minister attached importance to the EU’s active participation in the reforms of the Armenian government, touched upon the current reforms in public finance management and attached importance to the EU’s experience in this sector and the need for the EU to share it with Armenia.
The EU Ambassador expressed willingness to continue to support the reforms taking place in Armenia and highly appreciated the significant progress that has been made within the scope of the country’s strategy on the system of public finance management.
The parties also emphasized the importance of the conference organized for donor organizations in January 2020.
