YEREVAN. – Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, held a consultation today at the Military Police, discussing issues related to the deaths during military service, their prevention, the current operational situation, the Military Police work, and some other issues.

At the beginning of the meeting, Tonoyan bid farewell to outgoing Military Police chief Artur Baghdasaryan, after which he made some staffing decisions and, accordingly, several department heads were also dismissed, the Ministry of Defense informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Defense Minister instructed Aleksandr Aghajanyan, the Military Police Deputy Chief on Operational Matters, to temporarily perform the official duties of the Chief of the Military Police.

Also, Davit Tonoyan gave strict instructions to the Military Police staff and Aghajanyan.
