Armenian FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan did not give a direct answer on the possibility of stopping flights with Italy due to the spread of the coronavirus.

The minister told reporters on Monday that the spread of coronavirus is a threat to all countries, and ways to control the situation must be sought together.

According to him, Armenia has worked and is working closely with the government of China and Iran.

As he noted, meeting of the government is being held under the chairmanship of PM Nikol Pashinyan to develop concrete steps.

We cannot ignore the situation in Italy, Mnatsakanyan said adding it is also necessary to determine what steps are needed to jointly overcome the challenge, protect Armenian population and prevent the spread of the virus.

The loss of time is fraught with serious consequences, this cannot be allowed, he added.
