YEREVAN. – National Assembly Vice President Alen Simonyan was questioned today as an injured party in the court hearing of the criminal case against Levon Yeranosyan, former Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia.
Simonyan told the court that people should not be blamed when regular measures were taken against them.
During this session, the videotapes were studied.
At a previous hearing, the court examined the evidence of Yeranosyan's case.
Levon Yeranosyan is accused of using sound grenades in Yerevan on April 16 and 22 in the days of the revolution in 2018, and acting beyond his powers.
According to the indictment, more than two dozen demonstrators suffered as a result of Yeranosyan's actions.
Criminal charges have been brought against Yeranosyan, and a signature bond to not leave Armenia was selected as a pretrial measure for him.
