Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook about a new data on several links of economy. 

“Armenia should be a high-tech, industrial country with an export-oriented economy,” he said.

According to him, the manufacturing industry grew by 12%, with a share of 12.1% in the GDP structure. He noted it became the leading sector of the economy.

The export of goods and services from Armenia increased by 10.3% in 2019, he noted adding that the export of medium-tech goods increased by 26.9%, and the export of high-tech goods - by 13.5%.

He also added tourism has grown by 14.7%. Thus, the fastest growing sector of the economy was the provision of accommodation and catering services, the PM added noting there is an increase of 27.2% compared to 2018.
