Twelve designs were submitted for the open competition for a monument to those who lost their lives on March 1, 2008 in Yerevan.

And sculptor Albert Vardanyan's design, entitled "Impact-Reaction," was declared the winner by a vote of the competition commission members.

The monument will be erected on Grigor Lusavorich Street in Yerevan, in the middle of the fence stretching from Beirut Street to Zakyan Street.

The statue is a monument with a combination of bronze and stone.
