Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Vahe Enfiajyan today met with President of Dialogue Organization Yuri Navoyan, member of the Expert Council adjunct to the Government of the Russian Federation Roman Shkolin and Deputy Director of the Center for Transcaucasian Studies Nikolay Banini.

Greeting the guests, the deputy parliamentary speaker asked about the discussions on energy security in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the formation of a common energy market held yesterday by Dialogue Organization, with the support of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the National Assembly of Armenia.

Yuri Navoyan informed that Russian and Armenian parliamentarians, government officials and experts discussed the current state of energy security in Armenia, the prospective directions for energy cooperation between Russia and Armenia, nuclear energy in Armenia, Armenia’s energy system and cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union in the energy sector and the formation of a common energy market.

The deputy parliamentary speaker attached importance to the discussions and emphasized that the high level of energy security can be considered one of Armenia’s major achievements.
