YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The government plans to hold a three-month mobilization from March 20.
The draft decision “On Announcing [Military] Training Assemblies” has been submitted to public discussion recently, according to which it is proposed to involve 374 citizens (...) in the [military] training assemblies.
How is this long-term mobilization explained, as experts in the field say that a maximum of one-month period was accepted for mobilization? The official explanation is this: (...) mastering new weapons should be taught.
In connection with the timeframe of the mobilization, our sources also say that this is due to the upcoming Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] elections on March 31, and the constitutional referendum on April 5; "The defense system is being strengthened, prepared for possible shocks."
