Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan today received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas, who is on a working visit to Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the increase of effectiveness of the joint fight against terrorism and the fight against illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

Secretary Grigoryan presented the situation on the line of contact of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflicting forces and underscored the imperative of solving the issue of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) exclusively through peace, attaching importance to the position of the CSTO on the issue and the Armenian public’s expectations from the CSTO. Zas reaffirmed the position of the CSTO according to which there is no alternative to the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan also offered to consider the opportunities to upgrade the official website of the CSTO and include the official languages of all member states in the structure and releases on the website.

After the meeting, an official lunch was served on behalf of Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan.
