The delegation led by Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili today arrived in Armenia on a two-day official visit, as reported the news service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The official welcoming ceremony for the Minister of Defense of Georgia at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia was followed by the personal talks of the defense ministers of Georgia and Armenia and the enlarged meeting of the delegations.
The delegations discussed issues related to global and regional security and stability and the cooperation in the defense sector, as well as the opportunities for multilateral cooperation with the participation of Georgia and Armenia.
Tonoyan and Garibashvili signed the 2020 Plan for Cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of Georgia in the Defense Sector, after which they issued a joint statement on the results of the meeting.
During the visit, the delegation led by Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili will also visit Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the canonized martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
