In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Director of Astghik Medical Center Asatur Asatryan said the citizen of Armenia who died at the medical center didn’t die from the coronavirus and that the results of the test have been announced.

Asatryan informed that the patient, a man who was over 50, was diagnosed with double pneumonia and had been transferred to the hospital a day before.

Earlier, the following announcement had been posted on the Facebook page of Astghik Medical Center:

“Dear citizens, today the presses spread false information according to which a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran had died from double pneumonia at Astghik Medical Center. Astghik Medical Center officially declares that this information is inaccurate since no citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been hospitalized and has not died at Astghik Medical Center over the past couple of days.”
