YEREVAN. – Armenia has made a significant contribution to the collective security of the CSTO countries, and has taken an active position, a constructive business approach to all issues related to the strengthening and development of the organization. CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas stated this in a conversation with journalists in Yerevan.

He added that during his current visit to Armenia  he had a number of meetings with the Minister of Defense, at the parliament, and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. "Armenia is working quite constructively in all these areas," Zas added, in particular. “This year we have planned seven military exercises for the collective defense forces and resources; two of them will be held in Armenia.”

"The most important document of the CSTO, the collective security strategy until 2025, has been developed within quite a long time," Stanislav Zas also said, in particular. “The work was completed in 2016, under the chairmanship of Armenia. The document was signed in Yerevan. A lot of work was done, the chairing country—Armenia—and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did well; this is an example that illustrates the role of the country well."
