Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas, who is on a working visit to Armenia, as reported the news service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

Greeting the guest, Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated Stanislav Zas on assuming the office of secretary general of the CSTO and voiced hope that he will make his contribution to the implementation of the universal goals set by the CSTO.

Emphasizing the major role that the CSTO plays in Armenia’s security system, Armenia’s foreign minister stated that the close cooperation between member states is of vital significance for increasing effectiveness of the CSTO’s activities.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon several global and regional issues. Within the scope of the working visit, the CSTO Secretary General paid a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex where he paid tribute to the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
