YEREVAN. – The task is not just about abolishing the illegal detention of second President Robert Kocharyan; the task is that we must, in my deep conviction, overcome with united forces this shameful coil of frauds that exist in the March 1 case. Viktor Soghomonyan, head of the office of ex-President Kocharyan, said this today during the information conference, entitled "March 1 Case in Post-Revolutionary Armenia."

"Without overcoming these frauds, I'm sure we won't be able to move forward successfully," he added. "We not only will not be able to say that there is legal order in Armenia and the facts, not gossip, are respected in Armenia, we will also not be able to build a successful state."

According to him, they say that the state had no right to uphold the constitutional order during the events in Yerevan on March 1, 2008, in essence it was said that the masses should have done whatever they wanted that day, and they should not have met any resistance.

“With such a philosophy, we will never build a developing state; we will remain hostage to many frauds,” he added. "I hope that ahead of this sad anniversary, the public will once again try to find out by themselves what happened on March 1, 2008, and who is to blame for it."
