In regard to the situation created after the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Armenia, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today said the government has decided to suspend classes at schools and universities for a week.

“The government is suspending classes not only because our analysis shows that the country faces a problem with the epidemic, but also because we need some time to understand what’s going on. We’ll move spring break one week ahead so that the learning process continues. In the course of one week, we’ll conduct a more in-depth study to understand what’s going on and make decisions. The commission for prevention of the spread of coronavirus is working constantly and will hold a session tomorrow.”

Spring break will start on March 2 and end on March 8.
