YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended an event dedicated to the Day of the Diplomatic Service Worker, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Prime Minister noted that this day was marked by the ceremony of raising Armenia’s flag at the UN. "During our newly independent history, our diplomacy has had glorious successes,” Pashinyan said. “[But] of course, there have been some problems, failures, too, and we must go through this process."

According to the Prime Minister, it is time for Armenia to set new tasks for itself and to outline its future actions.

"Our biggest task should be to overcome the certain hang-up of small country representative," he noted, in particular.

The head of government noted that we need to change the world’s disposition towards us. "We have now set the task of (...) placing our country (...) among the higher class of countries and serving that purpose," he noted, in particular.

Prime Minister added that cooperation is one of the most important principles of Armenia’s diplomatic and state activities.

Nikol Pashinyan stressed that Armenia should be a reliable partner in international relations. "We must see to it (...) that the number of friends of the Republic of Armenia in the world will increase," PM Pashinyan said, "and for that, we must be a reliable partner."
