If they stop criminal prosecution against former defense minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan under the case regarding the events of March 1, 2008, dismiss the proceedings and commit another unlawful act, this will be painful. This is what Seyran Ohanyan’s attorney Karen Mezhlumyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Today, the Special Investigation Service issued a statement stating that Seyran Ohanyan has been engaged as a suspect on the suspicion of squandering property in particularly large amounts (AMD 1,046,400,000).

Ohanyan’s attorney says there are no legal or factual grounds and that Ohanyan has nothing to do with this.

When told that the decision on the motion for dismissing the criminal case of Ohanyan under the case regarding the events of March 1, 2008 will be announced tomorrow and asked if there is a link between the two cases, the attorney said both charges against Ohanyan are groundless.
