We welcome Armenia 's active cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, and believe that this is the direction in which our countries should cooperate effectively. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated this today during a statement for the media with visiting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in Tbilisi.

"Friendly relations between our countries have a millennia-long history, and we must work every day to make our cooperation even more effective," he said, in particular. “Today we talked about further deepening of the good-neighborly and friendly relations of our countries.

The Georgian side underlined the matter that democratic development in our region is very important for both economic and cultural development.

Despite  the different foreign policy directions of our two countries, we agreed that it is impossible to have any other dimension in this matter, and emphasized that the quality of democracy would contribute to the efficiency of cooperation in economy, transit, culture, and other issues. We welcome Armenia 's active cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, and believe that this is the direction in which our countries should cooperate effectively."
