On March 3, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Georgia highlighted the importance of promoting human contacts and strengthening ties between societies, and in this regard, signed a Memorandum of Intent. This is what Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Anna Naghdalyan said in response to a question regarding the visa facilitation between Armenia and Georgia.

“During the official visit of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to Georgia, an agreement was reached on the visa facilitation between Armenia and Georgia, and this particularly concerns the possibility to travel with ID cards. When will this agreement enter into force?” In response to this question, the Spokesperson stated the following: “The signing of the Memorandum of Intent lays the foundation for the launch of talks over the conclusion of an international agreement between the two countries. The public will be properly notified in different stages of conclusion and entry into force of the agreement, in accordance with the legislation,” this is stated in the response of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
