On Friday, Aircompany Armenia (Armenia Airways) issued a message from Gevorg Khachatryan, the deputy general manager of this airline, in which it is reported of a temporary cancelation of flights to Lyon, France, the Public Radio of Armenia reports.

“Dear colleagues and passengers, given the significant increase in the rate of coronavirus spread in France, taking into account this country's announcement as well as the massive return of purchased [airline] tickets, Armenia Airways is canceling the Yerevan-Lyon-Yerevan flights on March 16 and 23, as well as on April 2, 6, 13,” the message of the deputy CEO of this airline reads, in particular. “All tickets will be returned or replaced without any additional penalty.

Let me add that only the flights of March 30 and April 10 will be operated, giving the opportunity to fly to Lyon and in the opposite direction, if necessary."

The French authorities had announced their intention to announce the start of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the country in the coming days.
