Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today arrived in Brussels on a working visit, as reported the news service of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia. First, the head of government had a meeting with President of the European Council Charles Michel and discussed a broad range of issues related to the relations between Armenia and the European Union, particularly the broad agenda of the democratic reforms taking place in Armenia.

Charles Michel welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit and stated that it serves as a good opportunity to discuss the future steps for cooperation. The Prime Minister attached importance to the EU’s support to the reforms in Armenia and voiced confidence that the Armenia-EU partnership will continue to grow effectively after the assumption of office of Charles Michel as well.

The parties expressed willingness for further development of the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, including trade and economic relations.

Nikol Pashinyan and Charles Michel exchanged views on their expectations from the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels.
