Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today had a meeting with President of the European People’s Party Donald Tusk at the headquarters of the European People’s Party in Brussels, as reported the news service of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

Greeting the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk stated the following: “Mr. Prime Minister, it is my pleasure to welcome you in my new position as president of the European People’s Party. You can rely on me.” Donald Tusk emphasized that the public and politicians in Europe have great confidence in the new authorities of Armenia and personally the Prime Minister.

Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and stated that Armenia highly appreciates Donald Tusk’s role in the development of the relations between Armenia and the European Union.

The interlocutors exchanged views on Armenia-EU relations, attaching importance to the close and active cooperation between Armenian parliamentarians and delegates of the faction of the European People’s Party in the European Parliament.

The Prime Minister touched upon the course of implementation of the judicial and legal reforms being implemented in Armenia, including the circumstances of the upcoming referendum for amendments to the Constitution.
