Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan had a meeting with Vice-President of the European Commission, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

The interlocutors attached importance to the intensive development of Armenia-EU relations and discussed issues related to further support to the reforms underway in various sectors in Armenia, and Josep Borrell affirmed the EU’s willingness to support the implementation of those reforms.

Pashinyan and Borrell considered quick ratification by EU member states and full implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement necessary and a major component for the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.

The interlocutors touched upon the opportunities for the launch of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue. They also exchanged views on the talks over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and Josep Borrell reaffirmed the EU’s support to the peaceful settlement of the conflict.
