Minister of Economy of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.

The minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and voiced hope that the Ambassador’s professional experience will help solve the major issues of the two countries and enhance the economic cooperation.

In execution of the assignment that Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan gave during the session of the commission coordinating the activities for prevention of the spread of coronavirus in Armenia, the minister and the Ambassador discussed several issues related to the procedures for cargo circulation and oversight over cargo transfers, and the minister took note of the Iranian side’s observations.

The parties also discussed several issues on the trade and economic agenda, and the minister voiced hope that the economic ties of the two friendly countries will be back on track soon.
