YEREVAN. – How will the Open Society Foundations-Armenia assist Turkey, given that this organization is funded by George Soros, who recently supported Ankara's operations in Syria? This question was raised at the event dedicated to the launch of the program, entitled "Civil Society Monitoring of the Implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union."
But participants in the event, including Larisa Minasyan, Executive Director of Open Society Foundations-Armenia, declined to answer this question.
George Soros has recently called on Europe to stand with Turkey in the matter of Putin's "war crimes in Syria."
