The funeral of the 43-year-old woman who was killed on March 5 in Gyumri, Armenia, took place today in the city. National Assembly Vice Speaker Lena Nazaryan was present at the funeral, and she informed about this on Facebook.

Gyumri Municipality told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the funeral was organized by the city hall because this woman’s relatives had refused to do so.

By the way, none of her relatives, including her son who lived with his aunt after his father's death, attended the funeral.

The woman’s 13-year-old daughter, who also had suffered a beating from the 28-year-old man, is currently in hospital in Yerevan; in recent days, there has been a positive shift in her condition.

The issue of future custody of this girl and her brother has not been resolved yet, Gyumri's guardianship and trusteeship committee told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

A criminal case, on charges of causing intentional harm to health, has been instituted in connection with the incident.
