Twitter has ordered all employees worldwide to work at home due to the risk of the new coronavirus and issued an announcement on its website on Wednesday, reports TASS.

“We understand this is an unprecedented step, but these are unprecedented times. And we will continue to do all that we can to support our Tweeps,” the company’s announcement read.

Twitter had already “strongly encouraged” employees to do so in an announcement early last week, but is now making the directive mandatory across the world.
