On the evening of March 11, presidential candidate of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Davit Ishkhanyan (nominated by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party) and deputy candidates Vahram Balayan, Lernik Hovhannisyan and Armine Harutyunyan had a meeting with Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan at the Nikol Duman Center of the ARF-D Artsakh Chapter.

Touching upon the campaign, Ishkhanyan stated that it is in accordance with the law, yet there is some tension on social networks from time to time.

In his turn, Beglaryan stated that the aim of the ongoing meetings is to become familiar with the problems with human rights protection, the issues that political parties and candidates have noticed during the elections and their recommendations. Beglaryan presented the scope of functions and powers of the Human Rights Defender by which the Office of the Human Rights Defender is currently monitoring the electoral process on a daily basis.
