YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (RA) issued a statement on restrictions on land and air communication between Armenia and Georgia due to the novel coronavirus.
"Taking into account the epidemic situation due to the novel coronavirus, the RA Government, as a result of bilateral consultations and arrangements with the Government of Georgia, has decided to restrict land and air communication with Georgia until March 24, 2020 inclusive," the statement reads. "The restriction does not apply to Georgian and Armenian citizens and their family members returning to their countries, persons legally entitled to reside [in both countries], one another’s diplomatic missions staff and their family members, as well as officials who pay official mutual visits.
The course of regular cargo transportation between Armenia and Georgia will continue."
